Change is inevitable. . . .

Change is a constant in life.  While we may not want to admit it, we are always in a state of evolution.  We are always changing with every breath and step that we take.  Change is sometimes expected like when you see the end of a relationship coming or know your company is going to file bankruptcy or close its doors.  Other types of change are unexpected like when you are suddenly laid off or the relationship you are in immediately takes a turn for the worst.  How do we react to change?  Most people abhor change and as such the process is terrifying.  Other people embrace change and find that going with the flow is easy, fun and joyful.  The hardest part of changing is when we dig our heels in deep and allow ourselves to get 'stuck'.  In choosing to resist change, we are telling the Divine that our egoic belief of what is important to us takes priority over the Divine's belief.  We are saying that we don't trust the path that the Divine has set out for us.  We are 'stuck' because we've lost our faith and have disconnected from the Divine.  Change has a way of shattering us to our core.  We question the validity of things and wonder why that job, relationship or friendship didn't or couldn't have served us longer or more in accordance with our own schedule.  While change never seems to come about in our perception of the 'right time', all events are divinely crafted.  We may not see the greater tapestry that weaves our lives, but we need to trust and have faith that the Divine order of everything is always in sync with a higher plan.
