Are you a Driver or a Passenger?

The Burden of Our Own Desires

We live in a world where we want what we want, and we want it right now. We don't have the patience for waiting. But while we know what we want, we often feel lost about how to get it. The modern-day solution is to "manifest" our desires. We start this journey full of hope, only to be told that we first need to "heal ourselves."

Suddenly, our focus shifts. We’re on a new path, looking for our past-life traumas, our current-life blocks, and the issues we've long avoided. This quest to heal becomes time-consuming, expensive, and utterly exhausting. We pour so much energy into fixing ourselves, but our desires still feel out of reach. We find ourselves constantly striving—reading the next book, meeting with a new astrologer, getting another session with a shaman—all because we believe this "process" is the only way to get what we want.

Months pass, and we realize we're not manifesting anything. We're just tired. This modern approach makes us a hamster on a wheel. We're frantically running, but we're not getting anywhere. We carry the heavy burden of all our hopes and worries, trying to drive our lives forward all on our own.

The Relief of Letting God Drive

The alternative is to lay that burden down and trust in God's plan. We still have that desire, but for it to happen, we simply need to place our unconditional faith in God. We trust that God hears our prayers and knows our desires. We find communion with God and His plan by reading the Bible and inviting Jesus into every part of our lives.

Instead of being the driver, we get to be the passenger in a car that God drives. We sit back, enjoy the view, and trust that the road ahead is filled with beauty and joy. We don’t have to struggle to navigate; we just have to show up, pray, and believe.

When our desire arrives, it feels like a beautiful blessing from above. God’s plan often surprises us in ways we never expected, leading to something even better than we ever thought possible. That’s when we truly understand the joy and peace that come from having God and Jesus in our lives. It’s the sweet relief of a burden lifted, and the simple beauty of a life well-driven.
