I was born in a small NJ town just like the John Mellencamp song. My first acting role was playing a shepherd in a catholic grammar school Christmas play. I wasn’t bit by the acting bug at that time, but little did I know I would be later on. In the interim, I found my first love: singing. As a young girl, I sang with the choir at church. Singing led me back to acting and that’s where my studies began. I studied acting with some wonderful NYC teachers and that eventually led me to dance. I trained at Arthur Murray and was a dance instructor for several years. I also was a competitive dancer in the west coast swing circuit too.
As a young actress, I was fortunate to be a member of a theatre company that allowed its actors to direct new works. I spent several years acting in original works and directing works as well. My time in the company prepared me for when I wanted to write, direct and act in my own original works which I have done a few times to date.
As a writer, I’ve studied both playwriting and screenwriting. I have written several articles for magazines, maintained a blog and published a book called, The Journey to I Do: A Psychic’s Guide to Finding the Right Relationship.
And yes, I’m a psychic. I prefer to call myself a ‘psychic shrink’ because that’s what a psychic reading with me is all about. But that’s a whole different story.
